My hair’s newest friend: Kerastase RESISTANCE Line

We found this review about the Kerastase RESISTANCE Line on the "She wears many hats blog."

"Last spring I began losing lots of hair, all of a sudden. Lots. Whether due to hormones, chemicals in the water, styling, or a combination of all the above, I’ll never know. What I do know is that I was freaking out.

But this Kerastase… I don’t know what’s in it, but whatever it is, it’s good stuff. I immediately felt a change in my hair. After using it now for over a month, I’ve seen a gradual change in the texture and strength of my hair. And I want to tell everyone I know about it.

I’ve found it’s worth every pretty penny, because for me it works. Works mighty fine indeed. And it smells so loverly. My husband and my son tell me quite often, how nice my hair smells.

I’ve been using the Kerastase Resistance Bain Age Recharge Lipo Replenishing Shampoo, the Masque Age Recharge, and the Resistance Volumactive Volume Expansion Spray. I use the Masque Age Recharge as a daily conditioner for a couple of minutes, and once or twice a week as the full 5 minutes masque."

Kérastase Elixir Ultime: I Tried It!

We read a great review by Deborah Dunham about Kérastase Elixir Ultime on the Stylist blog.

From the review:

• The thought of adding oil to your hair is sure to conjure up images of greasy, weighted, flat strands.
• So when a box of Kérastase Elixir Ultime landed on my desk, I, like so many of my good-hair-day-chasing girlfriends, could not imagine how using oil would give me soft, shiny hair like it promised.
• The fragrance that filled the air in my tiny bathroom was sweet, soothing and enough to make me go hmmm. Or mmm. I am a sucker for all things that smell great.
• After applying the oil to my roots and working its way to the ends of my hair, I left it on for a few minutes while I caught up on e-mails.

Von Anthony Salon Owners To Attend Fashion Week

Amy Kott Hovland and her husband, Kerry, of Von Anthony Salon in Frisco have been invited by L’Oreal Paris to represent their salon as their guest at Fashion Week.

They will be flown up Wednesday and will stay in the Empire Hotel at 63^rd and Broadway. (Between Lincoln center and Central Park)

In late March, Von Anthony Salon will be the first in the area to provide INOA, the L'Oréal Professional Hair Color Line.

The new L’Oreal INOA Color was featured in the Gwen Stefani L.A.M.B fashion show.

They will have a meet and great cocktail party Thursday evening, the runway event at 8:00, behind the scenes with the artist after the event and then the after party with Gwen and the whole team.
