
How do you stay innovative and up-to-date in your industry?
I stay innovative be being involved. By keeping an open eye to textures and pattern. I am always intrigued by the choices people make in their style. Taking what's out there and making it their own.
Favorite hair care tip?
Blow drying from root to ends. Always moving in the direction of the hair cuticle. This has 5 physical benefits for the hair.
Favorite Kerastase product and why?
Elixer Ultime I use this on every single person in my chair. It makes the hair supple and soft. Aragon oil and 4 other kernel oils contribute to the softness and protection of the hair. The refined molecular weight ensures absorption without ever weighing the hair down.
Favorite celebrity hair?
Model Lilly Cole. Her long beautiful red mane. It's a fabric that get shaped and worn as a accessory. Also I have a thing for Red Hair.
Worst celeb hair?
Donald Trump, but you have to respect an Icon. It is his un-deniable trademark
Who is your favorite beauty icon?
Lilly Cole. She was discovered at a UK shopping mall. She just seems to be down to earth. I hope to one day work with her.
What do you like to do in your free time?
In my free time I am always doing hair. I am always working on portfolio work. And doing photo shoots. Plus I always have some sort of hair piece I'm building for concept or themed photo shoots. Right I am just finishing hand panted African Porcupine quills for a black and white photo shoot coming up.
Best advice ever received?
I constantly get great advice from all sorts of amazing people, young and old. But the best advice I have gotten recently "Find 1 hour of peace and tranquility each day."
Where did you grow up?
I grew up on "The Rez" in Northern Arizona. On the Navajo reservation. Then moved to Salt Lake City area.
What book is currently on your nightstand?
The books I read are almost always technical books. I am currently learning how to program iPhone/IPad applications. I am designing for hairstylist and our clients. But 2 books I always have handy "The hidden message in water" Masaru Emotu and "Dharma Punx" Noah Levine.
Both are great manuals to life I think I have given these books away more than a dozen times
Vegetable you won't touch.
Brussels Sprouts. My grandmother made me eat them till I threw up as a kid. I'm also highly allergic to Kiwi fruit (although I crave it).
Favorite home cooked meal? 
Sushi. My friends and family all gather at a large round table making and creating new rolls and garnishes. One of our favorite treats.
Favorite vacation spot?
Kauai. Swimming with sharks, green sea turtles, dolphins and reef fish. Hiking to waterfalls and watching whales
Favorite item in your house?
All the photos of the loved people in my life.
Favorite Starbucks drink?
I like coffee but I don't like Starbucks coffee.
What do you want to say to your future clients?
This is a journey we will take together. Let's always evolve. Please don't get stuck on one look. Always evolve, even if slowly.
Predictions for the coming New Year?
Feather are flying south. Let's bring back color. Express yourself in color. Natural looks were a nice breath of simplistic beauty. But it's time to have fun again. Hair is your best accessory "Rock it Out."
