Meet Houston Greenleaf, Stylist at Von Anthony Salon, Frisco

1.    How did you arrive at Von Anthony Salon?  When I was searching for an apprentice program I knew that if I was going to apprentice, I wanted to learn from the best. There were a few places in the area with really great education but I just kept being drawn to VA.

2.    What are you known for professionally? I thrive on making people feel good. If you don't leave my chair feeling better than you did when you sat down, then I didn't do my job.

3.    How can our clients relate to you? I have been in many salon chairs and have been worked on by quite a few people that didn't listen to my needs. Those experiences have helped shape me as a stylist, and help me to connect with and attend to my clients' needs.

4.  What most excites you about your work & the contribution you can make? No other job gives you the opportunity to be the best part of someone's day. We get to do that. I think that is just incredible.

5.    What are you passionate about personally? I love food, music, and art; I'm drawn to really anything creative.

6.    Any volunteer activities? I was a part of the March For Babies. It was a very eye opening experience. It truly puts life in perspective. I also have three foster failure dogs. I attempted to foster but just kept falling in love with them.

7.    Favorite hair care tip? Keep your scalp stimulated. A healthy scalp means strong healthy hair!

8.    Favorite Kerastase product and why? Elixir Ultime. It's a treatment grade serum. So while it's in your hair it continues to improve and strengthen your hair.

9.    Favorite Oribe product and why? Foundation Mist. It's heat protectant, UV protectant, completely weightless and it's reparative. Plus it smells good.

10.    Favorite celebrity hair? Jennifer Lopez. She is always so beautiful and classic.

11.    Who is your favorite beauty icon? Christie Brinkley she is just such a timeless beauty.
12.    "You know you're a hair stylist when _________"    You mix five different lipsticks together to get the perfect shade.
