Inspired by a woman who mentored her, Amy Kott Hovland believes that a talent that is not shared is not truly a talent. As creative director at Von Anthony Salon, she has a strong focus on continued training and resource support for her stylists.
She has recently hired Leigh Vest to mentor and train. In fact, Leigh is currently in training for cuts and chemical work. As Amy's assistant, she helps mix color and preps her clients and observes. She also shampoos applies treatments on our clients.

Leigh loves the beauty industry. "I love making people beautiful and them feeling better about themselves and their appearance."
In fact, Leigh shares, "I did the whole football teams hair and all of my friend's cut/color. The night before graduation 15 guys came over to all get their hair cut. My clippers got so hot from being on too long that it burned my hand."

I have received tons of good advice. To always go beyond your expectations or goals you have set for yourself. Because what doesn't kill you makes you stronger and hard work always pays off.
